WHAT A WEEK!!! It started first thing Sunday morning with Miss Katurah in urgent care. She had a cough that I swear was going to break a rib and she was just miserable. They put her on a low dose of antibiotic twice a day. Let me tell you a little something about my kids and medicine...THEY HATE IT!!! I have to hold her down and force it into her mouth, meanwhile she is gagging and spits much of it my face. When I finally get enough in her she sits and dry heaves for about 10 minutes afterwards, twice a day, good times. The next day we had Zeke's well child appointment. Amari stayed home with her "Wamma" AKA Grandma and I took the other two. It took over 2 hours.
The next day Zeke started school. Wednesday Zeke came home from school early because he didn't want to be there. Then we took Katurah back to the doctor because she wasn't getting better. Another two hours later we have a new antibiotic and Zeke starting to fever. Luckily after Katurah's first dose of this she started feeling better. So we kept Zeke home Thursday and Amari started "Not feeling so better" as she likes to say. But we had to get Zeke's blood drawn down at the hospital for his upcoming surgery. If you are keeping track that is 4 doctors visits in 5 days...YUCK! Thank goodness I was able to just call into get medicine for the other 2 kiddos, I think 5 trips would have sent me over the edge. Especially considering...
...we still had Pantera's birthday party to throw on Friday! We did a Halloween themed party for her little friends, they all wore there costumes and played games such as "Daytime-Nighttime" instead of Redlight-Greenlight, musical coffins instead of musical chairs, and gargoyle tag instead of freeze tag. It was very fun until someone pulled the fire alarm and we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. The perfect end to a crazy week. At least my cake looked good ;) Pantera loves Monster High and she was Frankie Stein for Halloween, so I made her a Monster High cake for her party.
Here is Pantera before school on Thursday, they had a big Halloween parade. I revamped a dress from Salvation Army for her sweet costume.
Zekie boy looking good on his first day of school...Zeke showing off most of his Cars collection. He is so funny, he will ask me to "Make a collection" or put all of his cars back in there spots for him so he can pretend to show them off to a fake YouTube audience..."Here we have Spin-out Lightning McQueen, 1:55 scale, diecast, he has a custom paint and no stickers. He does not have a metallic finish."
As I mentioned earlier, Amari got to spend some time with her "Wamma." My mom uses a cane because she just had her hip replaced, Amari uses a cane because she thinks her Wamma is awesome. She really looks like she knows how to use it.

Riley was horrible about medicine when she was little too. I remember one time I held her down for 10 minutes to try and keep the medicine in her. And the second I let her up, she puked it all up. When she was 3 she got a UTI and I knew that there was no way I could get antibiotics in her, especially since it's so important to not miss any doses. So I asked the doctor if they had a shot instead of the medicine that he could give her and they do!! So we did that. It was awesome!! She got the meds and I didn't have to fight her. It did take four nurses for it though - 2 to give the 2 shots in her bum and 2 to hold her down. But in case your little ones won't hold down the antibiotics I wanted you to know you have other options!
