The other day Pantera and I were at Meredith's house and she lost her shoes. After her telling me a couple of times "I found them" and holding up random objects and me going up and down the stairs, I was getting rather frustrated. Pantera asks me "Are you mad at me?" I said "No, I am not mad but I am sick of looking all over for your stuff. It isn't easy for me to go up and down the stairs I am big and pregnant and it hurts my body." She looked at me and said in the exact same tone I would use "That's just to bad. You still have to." Just when I thought she didn't listen to me...then she went to time out.
A couple months back she was looking for her sippy cup (she calls it a juicy cup). She was getting upset because she couldn't find it and I wasn't helping her. She walks into our bedroom and under her breath says "Where the hell's my juicy cup?!?" How do you keep a straight face after that? She really must listen better then I give her credit for and now I can't say hell either.
All of our things are on their way to Pennsylvania in the truck right now, this includes Jess and Humper. Jess thinks Humper hates him because the truck is bumpy and he keeps looking at him through the cage. If you know Jess you know that he usually jumps to the conclusion that people hate him because they look at him...an animal, this truly is a new paranoid low. Jess, if you read this I assure you that Humper has nothing but the utmost affection for you!
Pantera checked out a book at the library called "The girl who loved wild horses." It is about a Navajo girl who loves wild horses so much that she eventually morphs into one. I know we have some Soiux background and I know Meredith morphs from time to time (this is why she avoids alcohol, it has nothing to do with religious beliefs). I wonder if I should be scared for Pantera, she already has so many of the characteristics...

Daddy's girl drama
Last night the topic of our hospital stay was brought up somehow at our house. This was very disturbing to Pantera. I explained to her that she would go and spend the night at her friend Lexi's house, while Jess and I went to the hospital to have Ezekiel. She was very upset and said "I don't want to live with Lexi!" I explained again that it would just be for a night and that we would pick her up as soon as baby Ezekiel was here. She then said "I want the Grandma with the white hair to stay with me!" (This would be Jess' mom) I said that we could arrange to get her a plane ticket so she could, then Pantera started crying "But I want to stay at Lexi's house!" Man I hope boys are not this dramatic! But just in case she is really worried about this, I picked up 2 books about what happens when a new baby is going to come.
Lately Pantera has become quite the Daddy's girl. The other morning I was going to make pancakes and offered her some she quickly told me no. Then asked "Is daddy having pancakes?" He was. "I want pancakes too!" Whatever. Not only does she want to pick up on his eating habits, she has made it her goal in life to combine forces with him in teasing me...not good! As most of you know, I am a big cry baby. I have cried many times while reading her the friend before bed. At first this really upset her and she would hug me and tell me it was ok. The past week or so she has been picking stories that she knows will make me cry. She asks about once a paragraph "Are you crying mom?" Then she and Jess laugh at me.

The Bike
Yesterday was the big day, Pantera finally saved enough money to get her bike! She was actually about 60 cents short of her goal of $25 but they were having a great sale at Gordman's and I couldn't pass up a barbie bike that was originally $77 marked down to $25. So I went and picked up the bike and a helmet while she and Jess took a nap yesterday. When she saw it she looked at me and said "Is that my bike?!? Am I there?" (She would ask "Am I there?" every time we would count her money). She is so proud of this bike. Then she told me "I'm not going to be mean to you anymore. You know why? Cuz you bought me a bike!" I tried explaining that it is not good to be nice just because someone does something for you, but I think she tuned out the rest of our conversation. We went to Meredith and Jake's house last night and they had some people over. Pantera took each of them into the garage individually to look at her bike "that has a backpack I can carry, a water bottle if I get thirsty, and a book in the backpack (the owners manual) if I need to read."
This whole reaching her goal thing has made me really nervous, let me explain why, This last January I was having a very difficult time with Jess being gone so much and Pantera's bad attitude. She was getting really, really bad. Temper tantrums over anything and everything, it was horrible. The Veggie Tales movie came out around that time and she wanted to see it. So I made a deal with her, if she could go 3 days with listening and without throwing a fit, I would take her to see it. With the way she had been acting I figured this would be impossible. Much to my surprise she was a perfect angel for 3 days!!! We went to the movie and on the way out of the theater she wanted to play on one of the games, I said no. She flipped out and we were back to square one! I couldn't believe it. So in fear that she will revert back to peeing in her pants, she is saving up more money for a Kung Fu Panda toy.

This is a picture of me. The little spot in my stomach is Ezekiel. Pantera has been coloring for about 1/2 and hour and has drawn pictures of all of the characters from Monsters Inc. She isn't allowed to watch that movie because it scares her, so I really have no idea why she thought about it. Then she told me that when she watches Monsters Inc. she will break the glass on the TV and go inside to give them their pictures that she drew. She was not happy when I explained that it wouldn't work. So then she decided to wait by the closet for Mike Wasowski to come out so he will say "Hey kid, do you have any mail for me?" These are her words, not mine.
We went swimming today, I hoped it would wear her out but instead I got worn out and she is wild as ever!!! On the way home she said "I saw a boy smoke. We don't eat smoke!" At least she kind of listened to that lecture.

We are so blessed!!!
So the house that we wanted didn't work out. The worst part of it was that the guy didn't even call us back, I called him the next day after stressing all that time and he said "We decided to go with someone who is a little more qualified." I was a little annoyed at his attitude and acting like we can't afford $900 a month. Jess makes good money and I checked our credit and we both should have no problem renting from someone!!! Anyways, as soon as I got off of the phone with him, I went to the computer and there were a couple of new listings in the same paper that we found the 1st house in. One caught my eye for a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath. I mapquested it, low and behold it is 20 minutes closer to Jess' work! So I call the number, Dr.Lese picks up and describes the house (which is actually a duplex...but oh well!) all new appliances, completely remodeled, sounds great! Then I ask him if anyone else has looked at it yet. He said that another couple had been by the night before and that they were interested and he was also waiting for a call back from someone else about looking at it, but if I was serious about renting it he would hold it for me!!! Why??? He said "I just feel like you guys need it more." I broke down sobbing!!! Our Heavenly Father is so kind to us! So we got approved for it today and the paperwork is being sent out for us to sign. When he got on the phone with me today he asked "Why did you wait so long to find a place? you are moving in 2 weeks." I told him that we have only known about the move for 2 weeks and that I started looking the day we found out. Then he said "I really feel there has been some divine intervention here." Wow!!! I will probably spend the rest of the week just thinking about this nice man and our Father in Heaven and crying. Thanks for letting me spill and thanks for all of the prayers, I know that's what made the difference!

Welcome to Boring Primary!
Pantera wanted to call Meredith on Thursday night. She picks up my phone and presses the green button, but this called Jess' phone instead. When he picked up she got really mad and said "I was trying to talk to Ruff Ruff not you!" How dare he intercept her phone calls! So Jess helped her call Meredith. Pantera had all of her toy horses in a pot from the kitchen with a lid. She told Meredith over the phone "I have a surprise for you. Close your eyes, now open them!" As she quickly removes the lid from the pot. Then she was very offended when Meredith didn't know what the surprise was.
Today after church I asked Pantera what she learned. She said "I didn't learn anyfing, cuz it was boring. The teacher told me a story about a boy who was sad acuz his dad died...it was so boring. Then the teacher stood up and said 'Welcome to Boring Primary.'" Are they conducting these meetings differently from when I was in primary? I mean I remember being bored from time to time, but the teachers never actually told me it would be boring!!!

House Drama
Finding a home to rent in the south western part of Pennsylvania, while living in Colorado is nearly impossible!!! Apparently they have yet to learn of the Internet, because there are absolutely no listings online. Very annoying. Meredith found the newspaper for one of the counties that we could live in online (by some miracle). Then we found "the house." 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths, 20*20 recreation area, security system, and hot tub, at $900 a month...WOW!!! So now we are waiting for the gentleman to fax us an application. The problem is that we've been waiting all day...and I'm officially going out of my mind! I can't stand not knowing exactly where we will be living, especially with the baby on the way. So I looked up houses on craigslist (they are only listed if they are in the Pittsburgh area, which is a little to far away). I found a 3 bedroom 1 bath for $500 a month. I called the guy, and if it is possible to hear that someone has no teeth, that's exactly what I heard. 100% hillbilly and I really am not sure I want him to know where I live:<>! Plus he said it was in an "alright" neighborhood, coming from this particular source that scares me. So everyone pray that we get the cool house...unless you don't like us, then why are you reading this?

Job transfers and other joys
No word yet on when the heck Jess' job is going to let him transfer for sure. We were hoping to have him go up this weekend with the car work for two weeks and look for a house, then fly home to move the truck. We are just waiting to hear from the district manager out there to see if this is alright. The good news is that Pizza Peak has locations nationwide and Pantera was able to get a transfer without any problems!!! She told me today that she needs her checks so she can work in Pennsylvania like Dad. I'm unsure about her other 2 jobs (she works at Wal-Mart and Subway as well) she didn't mention anything about them, maybe she is going to take it easy and just work one job for a while.
Maybe I should explain Pizza Peak better for those of you who haven't been around Pantera much in the last 6 months. Pizza Peak is not real. Pantera is employed full time there. They recently went through a huge merger with the Pink Watermelon chain, resulting in Pizza Peak/Pink Watermelon chains. When I asked what she does at work she says "I buy toys." Pizza Peak sells pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, and toys. They also deliver.
The picture above is from last night (I think the date on my camera is off a little). Pantera was wearing her "Party Hat" AKA underwear on her head. She wears me out!

You are what you eat!
Yes, I am saying Pantera is a nerd!!! Last night she had her hand down the back of her pants again. Jess told her to get her hand out of her butt. She said "I'm digging for treasure!" Jess asked what kind of treasure, Pantera replied "Brown treasure." I have no idea what makes her think of the things that she does!
Later that night...I am painting a picture of Cinderella for one of her little friends. She is watching for about 2 minutes then decides to dip her finger in some paint and "help" by wiping it across the painting. Luckily, she didn't get to far. I explained to her that I needed to put the paint in exactly the right place and only I know where that is. She said "I know what I can do to help!" Then she was gone. When she returned she was wearing her Cinderella costume, gloves and all. She stood in front of me posing just like the picture. Having a live model was very refreshing and much appreciated! Then she asked me "you know why Cinderella wears glubs (gloves)? Just in case she sees a porcupine so she doesn't get porked by the pokey fings!" That explains so much!!!

The good, the bad, and the ugly DiDi.
My downstairs neighbor sounds just like Optimus Prime from Transformers. The problem is that my downstairs neighbor is also a woman and she likes to talk on her phone out on her patio where I can't avoid any second of her conversation no matter where I go in my apartment. My goal before I leave is to get her to say "Autobots unite!"
We have been having many mixed emotions from Pantera about the upcoming move. One minute she is so excited about her "Doggy house in Pennsylvania" then the next she says that she can't go because "bad Didi lives there." She has been talking about her Doggy house for about 6 months now, I don't know where it is or who lives there, but it is a frequent topic of conversation with her. She does say that she has another mom and dad that live at her Doggy house and she says she is going to live with them when she is mad at me. "Bad Didi" is her mortal nemesis...well actually "Super Tera's." Along with "Nurse Booboo," bad Didi constantly seeks to promote chaos wherever she can. Let me give you a few examples of the things Bad Didi is capable of: "she pees in her underwear" on purpose, she "listens to the bad guy Lucifer", she "wraps people up", and always laughs a very villainous laugh afterwards. My daughter has created an alternate universe for herself where she is the one person who can "save the day" (the only other thing that can help is Underdog, but he is not a person and they usually work as a team).
