Little Lady

I made this little ladybug set while I was prego. I finally got around to taking her pics in it today.

A first for me, the baby chin in hands pose!!! I finally figured it out without needing to merge photos together.

And a sleepy smile, she is just too cute! She has been my best sleeper so far (I probably shouldn't have said that :) She went 5 1/2 hours last night...I can't remember the last time I slept that long straight. I woke up a little panicked that she missed a feeding...but I guess that is normal for some kids???

Now that you have taken in her lovely pictures, I will ruin them for you with a nice story about the fabric she is on. First off, I LOVE IT! I searched fabric stores and the internet until I tracked some down. Then I had to choke down the fact it was $30 a yard...I waited for a sale and got it a little cheaper...anyways, when I put Katurah on it for the first time Pantera is in the room and says "Awww! That is so cute, it looks like she is laying on a dead cat!" Thank you Pantera.

Horse witch

Amari has been great with the baby, no jealousy from her. But she has been a bit more destructive, we all need an outlet, right? The best part is she is not very sneaky. When she is up to her worst, she does a really weird laugh that sounds like a cross between a horse and a witch. It's hard to be mad when she sounds so hilarious.

In other news, Zeke doesn't want anyone changing his diaper anymore. I told him if he doesn't want changed, USE THE POTTY! He replied "Need cars 2 potty. Elmo's not cool." He has an elmo potty and I guess it isn't usable due to the fact Elmo is lame. I love that he is sharing his opinion.

Quick birth story

Miss Katurah was due on November 12th. As we got closer to her due date, I was MISERABLE. I am not big on complaining and I know no one likes the last month of pregnancy, but I don't remember being in so much pain with any of my other kids. I had yet to deliver without pitocin so I was just ready for an induction. I went into the dr on the 9th, I had been having contractions for weeks, and really bad ones for a couple of days. I was almost in tears in the office because they were so intense. The dr said I should go to the hospital. I told him no. He can't seem to grasp that I have to be pumped full of pitocin to get past a 3. So he said he would see what he could do, but he was going on vacation so no promises.

I recieved the most glorious phone call of my life that afternoon, it was the dr informing me I would be induced sometime early the next morning....scratch any negative comment I may have made about the man in the past, I just might love him at this point. Contractions continue so we head to the hospital around 3 am, we get a call saying they are ready for me while we are on our way. I takes a couple hours for intake, around 6 they hook me up. Unfortunately they weren't as pit happy as I'm used to so it took FOREVER! I got an epidural, that was nice. Around 3:45 I wanted to push. They got ready, I pushed I think 6 times and hear the dr ask how big my other babies were "because this one is up there!" Sure enough she was 8lbs 13oz. I can't even explain the relief I felt the second I pushed her out...poor organs.

The kids all love her so much. I had her dressed in a Lightning McQueen shirt so she would win Zeke over. Pantera was so excited to meet her and took pictures into her class. Amari was happy but I think she thought Katurah was a doll, then Katurah cried and Amari was thrilled! Her face was priceless. She has been all over Katurah ever since, "helping" wherever she can. She even tried nursing her.

Keeping up with Tera's love life

Pantera got a guitar for her birthday from us. I hope she continues to love music and develops talent in that area. That is one thing I wish I would have tried, any instrument really, since I didn't I will just encourage my kids I guess. In other news, Pantera and Logan broke up. "It's just hard, because Logan's mom...so nice! But her son, (insert sad sigh here) not so much." Is she ever going to find love? Or will love find her? Steven has a ring in his desk and he is planning to give it to the girl he likes, Pantera has made it to the top 3, although she doesn't like him like that. The Bachelor 1st grade edition. Zeke and Amari play awesome games together during the day. The top picture they are playing "window babies." Zeke calls her "Me Amani" I love it. They both sang my mom happy birthday over the phone the other day. It was awesome coming from Zeke, who couldn't talk less then 2 months ago. It was also awesome coming from Amari who you can kind of understand. She got to the "happy birthday dear...." and froze cuz she forgot who she was talking to. I quickly said "Dear Grandma" and she added "and Papa!" She is a little obsessed with the guy lol!
Here's hoping the next post is announcing a new baby!!!
