I pulled my brains out.

Pantera got a new issue of her favorite magazine "The Friend" yesterday. When she saw me get into the car with it she says "A new friend! Are you kidding me?!?" She gets so excited about it every month(Thank you Mary). It cracked me up to see her sleeping with several issues last night, what can she say, the word of the Lord is comforting. I put barrettes in her hair the other day and she pulled them out after a couple of hours. She then told me "I pulled my brains out." Ouch.

As many of you know Pantera thinks she is fluent in Spanish. We were at Target yesterday and the woman who checked us out was Hispanic with a short dark brown bob. Pantera automatically addresses her with "Houla, gaba abre." Luckily the woman laughed. Then Pantera says "What's your name? Oh I fought it was Dora." This was after another employee was making a fuss over her and made the mistake of asking Pantera her age. Pantera's reply "3, how old are you? Ugh, that's old."

Crazy week!!!

Jess has been out of town again, this time in Pennsylvania. On Sunday night we had talked a little about moving out there (we always have the grass is greener so lets go talk). On Tuesday his regional manager came into the office and told the employees that they were out of jobs. Luckily they planned on keeping all of the "EO'S" which is what Jess does, but they would now officially become a traveling crew. Which means no hope for work here:( So after talking to him we have decided to transfer to PA...yikes!!! That was on Tuesday. Today is Thursday, I have reserved a moving truck and am out of my lease as of the middle of August! I get my husband home at night without a pay cut...yes totally worth the move.

Pantera has been her usual crazy self. She pretends to sell me lemonade every morning in the bathtub. She calls it her "lemonade stamp." I think it will be very lucrative once it hits the streets but she might want to consider clothing...oh, and lemonade instead of tub water. We had to go shopping at the mall earlier this week because she keeps stealing my jewelery, so we got her some of her own. She picked out these fabulous horse earrings...totally hot!!! Then she pranced around the play place in the mall like she was the coolest kid to ever walk the face of the earth. It was so funny because other little girls kept coming up to her to compliment her earrings and she would say "oh thanks" in a very I know they are cool kind of voice.

Speaking of voices, Pantera loves the little mermaid and she says she has a "boice like Ariel." We were taking a walk the other day and she was being Ariel and I was prince Eric. She had a script she was telling me it went, Eric: "Why did you sing to me?" Ariel:"Because you were dead." Very romantic.

It's been a busy week! Jess was actually in town so we spent as much time with him as possible. My parents, Alex, and Sami came on Wednesday and left this morning. Pantera was so excited to see her uncle! He stayed with us so, she being the fabulous hostess that she is, made sure to let him know that he would be sleeping on the "princess bed." Yes, she goes all out for her uncle Alex.

We had a 4D ultrasound done on Saturday. So these are pictures of little Ezekiel before he puts on all of his baby chub. Jess is very proud that he looks like he's driving truck in one of the pictures. We got a couple of good shots at the very beginning of the ultrasound, but then he decided to play hide and seek in my ribcage! He seems very stubborn already...I have no idea where he would get that from;)

Happy Fathers Day...Bisgusting!

I would like to start by saying happy fathers day to my dad and to my husband! Pantera was in the fathers day spirit, she started out the morning by smelling him and saying "you're bisgusting!" Then she made him a card. I helped her by writing "Happy Fathers Day" on the front, she got upset and said "How many times I told you? That's to many letters!" Then I showed her that she can open the card and write in the middle and on the back and she was appeased. The middle of the card had all the letters that she could figure out how to draw and of course a huge H because that's the letter that she draws the best! On the back she drew her Father, the lines on his face are his "Pokey Fings" AKA stubble. What looks like it should be his neck are "Feet of course" and she even drew his hands which are the little lines coming out of the side of his head. At church she was very happy to get to sing during sacrament. When they finished singing and she came to sit down (when everyone else was quiet, naturally) she has the most surprised look on her face and exclaimed "That was a Fathers Day song!" Kind of like-how did they know it was today!?!

Diamonds are a girls best friend!

The parable of the bicycle by Stephen E. Robinson has always been one of my favorite analagies of the atonement. We have a storybook version that Pantera had me read to her the other night. It is about a little girl who wants a bike really bad and asks her dad for one. He tells her to save her money for it, figuring it was just a phase. The next couple of weeks he notices her doing extra chores around the house and saving every penny. She finally tells her dad that she is ready to go pick out a bike and they head to the store. She sees the bike of her dreams but starts sobbing when she looks at the price tag because she will never have enough to buy it. Her dad makes her the offer "give me all that you have plus a hug and a kiss and the bicycle is yours." It shows us how we can never pay the price for sin without the Savior and how little he really asks of us in return.

I cry everytime I read this and out loud to Pantera was no exception. After I closed the book, she looks at me and says "Mom, I want a bike." I tell her "That little girl worked hard and saved up her money, maybe you can start earning money around the house so you can buy one." She says "I don't have enough money, you can buy it for me." I am so glad that she learned so much from the story!

Despite her efforts to get us to pay for it now, I have actually started an allowance system for her. If she pees in the potty she gets a dime (she totally started wetting herself again last week, ugh!), if she poops in the potty she gets two dimes. But she doesn't call them dimes, so every time she uses the bathroom she says "Mom, I did it. I need a diamond!"

The Watch

Pantera has been asking for a watch for about a week now. We were at the store last night and she had been very patient with all of the baby shopping and she saw a princess one that she loved, so we bought it for her. No need to remind me, I know I am the biggest sucker in the world! Anyway, she was so excited to put it on and after she did she asks Jess where his watch is. He put his watch on as well. Pantera starts strutting around saying "Watches" and putting her watch up to her dad's. After a while she looks at me and says "Dad has a watch and I have a watch, where's your watch?" I told her that I don't have one. She says in a really snotty voice "Oh, you don't have a watch...baby!" Ouch!!! Nothing hurts worse then being called a baby by someone who still pees her pullup from time to time!

Speaking of pullups, a while back I had put on a pair of plaid pj shorts that kind of resembled boxers. Pantera points at me and says "Ha, ha, urs wearing dad's pullups!"

Another time I had cleaned out my closet and had a bunch of clothes in a box to throw out. Pantera finds a bra in this box and pretends to put it on. She comes up to me and says in a really creepy voice while wiggling around like a weirdo "Look, I'm Samana!" She can't say Savannah yet...but the impression was still dead on.

Mini Trampoline is less than Chihuahua

A couple of weeks ago Jess and I went out on a date leaving Pantera with Meredith and Jake. We decided to pick up a mini-trampoline for her to get some of her energy out on. I figured she would be excited about this, after all she is constantly jumping on the furniture and bed and me. So we pick her up and tell her that we got her a surprise at the house. Her face lit up and she asks "Is it a chihuahua?" I said that it wasn't, but undeterred she replies "We'll see mom." When she saw the trampoline she was excited and a little disappointed. We tried.

We went to a birthday party at the park today. Pantera was all over this baby boy tickling him, playing peekaboo, and giving him little hugs. This is so funny for me to see considering about 6 months ago she wouldn't let her cousin Jordan near her because "he has water" (drool). All of her little "mother hen" instincts have kicked in. She is so ready to be a big sister and she is very proud of her soon to be brother "baby polka." I am grateful that she is so open to another child in our family, but at times her enthusiasm makes me worry for Ezekiel's life. If you have ever seen her face when she pets an animal you would understand. Her eyes get really big, her teeth grind together, and she pushes on the animal's (or person's) nose with the palm of her hand, it is very creepy.

Needless to say the fact that he is in there has brought up some interesting conversations. She was pretending to be a doctor the other day and I told her that my tummy was feeling weird. She said "Oh, that's acuz there's a baby in there." I acted shocked and said "how did it get there?" "You and Daddy made him." I asked "But how?" "You just mixed him up in a bowl and put him in!" That makes sense, it works with cookies why not with babies.

Disneyland

I have decided that we should start charging admission to our house. I have everything Disneyland has and more! We have Cinderella, Snow White, Maid Marian, Sleeping Beauty, Minnie Mouse, Peter Pan, Koda, and every other Disney character known to man (including characters from sequels) on a daily basis! Unfortunately, Dopey moved out last December and hasn't been heard from much since. If you love the characters, Ham N Cheese Land is the place to be. Or do you enjoy the rides? We have a wide variety of roller coasters in each room, they are all emotional, but guarantee you the ride of your life. Many are kid size but I'm sorry to admit the majority are for adults. Then there are the shows at night...amazing! Getting Pantera in bed always brings out the fireworks and quite the parade. Coasters, characters, parades, all that's missing is the churros...anyone know how to make those?

I just told Pantera that Father's Day was coming up in a couple of weeks. She got really excited and said "Then it's Child's Day!"

This is Humper. He loves long walks on the beach, timothy hay, and dressing up with Pantera. On this particular occasion Pantera put this fancy foam bead necklace that she made on him. Obviously she was dressing him up as "the Muffin Man." She just kept laughing over and over calling him Muffin Man. I don't get it.
Last night she let Muffin Man pee on the new recliner. I threatened to throw him outside. Thank goodness for microfiber!

Breakfast

This morning Jess asked Pantera what she would like to eat for breakfast. She replied "I don't have time for breakfast." This world just moves so fast and she has so much she needs to get done in a day that stopping for breakfast is, at times out of the question. As soon as she was done dumping out and mixing up a deck of tinkerbell cards she declares, "Now I have time for breakfast." So Daddy asks her what she would like, her response "Crapdin Crunch." Sounds yummy.

"Silly bunny, you're not a human...he's not a human, right mom?" -Pantera
