We have officially had to hide all ipods at our house. Zeke has such a one track mind about things, all he could think about was using the ipod to look at Cars toys over and over again. As soon as Jess walks in the door at night Zeke happily says "Hi dad! You have your ipod? I am obsessed!" It was funny at first, but enough is enough, so it just magically disappeared. He is dealing with this better then I thought he would.
Pantera likes to sing alot and Zeke gets songs stuck in his head very easily. The other day he was going around the house singing the love song from Tangled but in a really awesome "heavy metal" type voice "And at last I see the light!" He has seemed more withdrawn lately. I am in the process of trying to get him an evaluation, yet again. I'm just waiting on an appointment now. The last time they called to set one up we were in the hospital for asthma...needless to say bad timing. While I'm waiting, I have looked into pet therapy. I read several articles stating the benefits of having a pet they feel close to. Unless you get a super cool rockstar cat like my nephews have (yes Piper I'm talking about you), only a puppy will tolerate a kid as rough as Ezekiel.
So now we have Yipper. I let Zeke pick his name and help buy all the stuff for him. This has seemed to help a little bit. He has laughed so much over the past week and plays with the puppy instead of just his cars.
I sure do hope it helps.
Love you Zekie boy!
