One of the favorite games to play around our house is "babycakes," where Katurah (being held by me) chases them around the room and with a really creepy voice she (I) says she is going to eat them. The kids all love it, as does she. Although she might be taking it a little to far, today in the grocery store she saw a 10 month old who was about 1/2 her size and I swear she was licking her lips...babycakes!!! We joke about this now because she really is HUGE, but so was Amari...and Zeke...and Pantera. She will end up a scrawny kiddo all to soon.
Amari has quite the imagination these days. She constantly brings anyone and everyone toys to play with her. I love the games she comes up with as they usually involve some sort of big drama like your toy pony is falling off a cliff and hers is the only one who can save you. We all know that in reality her pony likely pushed yours off to begin with. She was drawing pictures on a little dry erase board the other day and she drew a pretty good pic of her Daddy. When I asked her to do it again when he got home, she looks really carefully at him and starts drawing. She made a circle, then looked at it and quickly wiped it away saying "notes" then she tried again-still not quite right "notes." The third time was the charm and she proudly declared "Is you Daddy!"I bought martini glasses for that photo project so the kids used them for dinner the other night. They thought they were so cool drinking some koolaid all fancy like. Amari even looks a little wasted in one of the pics.
Pantera has been practicing caring for the horse that she is going to get someday. I bought them a weird horse that they can sit on, but it's legs are all stiff like it is going through rigor mortis. My favorite is when she sleeps with it in her bed and its legs are sticking up through the blankets...hilarious. Anywho, when she cares for the horse she talks like a cowgirl saying things like "Thanks mom, I had a hankering for that" or "That man is a hoot" I can't remember what else, but she has a pretty good little cowgirl accent to go along with it.
The other day I took all the kids to Toys R Us (or as zeke calls it toys for us). We were in the cars aisle and there was a little boy around Zeke's age looking with his mom. She made the comment that she couldn't believe they don't have any new cars out. I mentioned that Zeke has almost all of them as well. Then we were laughing about how obsessed they are and she said that her little boy is so crazy about cars that he even watches videos on youtube about the toys, some guy with a monotone voice opens the cars and describes them in detail. I just about died laughing, you mean BLUCOLLECTION! So Zeke is not alone. It cracked me up.
