We have been all over the place this last week! The kids got to go to a couple parks, play in a creek, see animals on a farm, and go to the mall with friends to get Amari's ears pierced. Summertime is alot of fun!
One of Jess's friends has a farm, Pantera went over there with him the other week. She was so proud that she got to pet a cow. Well, he sent Jess home with some meat the other day. Pantera was helping me prepare it this afternoon and was asking what kind of meat it was. I told her "It is cow, it came from Jackson's farm." Her response "Are you joking? You are really serious? Is it the one that I pet?" I told her I didn't think that it was, but this opened the door for some wonderful comments and questions. Such as "Where do you buy people meat at? And what does it taste like?" I told her we don't eat people and she wanted to know why. Ewww. Then it was "If we don't eat people, what happens to our bodies when we die then?" I explained about cemeteries and told her we had recently been to one when her Papa was visiting. "So they bury the bodies then we walk on them. That's weird...I know! When Andrew and Ryan come visit, maybe we can go back there and the worker can dig up some bodies and show them to us!" That is the point that I couldn't help but laugh. Don't let Pantera plan your vacation. The other 2 kids were sleeping while we were cooking and she said "It's so nice to have a piece of quiet." I just love her!
