We went to a birthday party at the park today. Pantera was all over this baby boy tickling him, playing peekaboo, and giving him little hugs. This is so funny for me to see considering about 6 months ago she wouldn't let her cousin Jordan near her because "he has water" (drool). All of her little "mother hen" instincts have kicked in. She is so ready to be a big sister and she is very proud of her soon to be brother "baby polka." I am grateful that she is so open to another child in our family, but at times her enthusiasm makes me worry for Ezekiel's life. If you have ever seen her face when she pets an animal you would understand. Her eyes get really big, her teeth grind together, and she pushes on the animal's (or person's) nose with the palm of her hand, it is very creepy.

Needless to say the fact that he is in there has brought up some interesting conversations. She was pretending to be a doctor the other day and I told her that my tummy was feeling weird. She said "Oh, that's acuz there's a baby in there." I acted shocked and said "how did it get there?" "You and Daddy made him." I asked "But how?" "You just mixed him up in a bowl and put him in!" That makes sense, it works with cookies why not with babies.

Your baby belly is so cute! Can you send me the recipe for mixing up babies? I think she will be a great sister for baby polka! Oh and I hope you don't die from famine!

I wonder if we could get twins if we doubled our batch and mixed them in a kitchen-aid. What do you think???
