Pretty much the last week has looked like this...
We have so much snow it is crazy! Jess has always loved to shovel, especially if I leave a banana on the table for him. Luckily Hannah lives across the country so we have very few meltdowns.
The girls watching there hero shovel snow...
Katurah is talking up a storm! The other night she was downstairs with just Jess and I, and loving the alone time. When Amari came down she said "Uh-stairs Amani, NOW!" She was MAD! She can get away with just about anything with her daddy these days, he has a hard time telling her no. I really don't blame him. She brings me toys throughout the day and always wants me to play with her. I love this age.
Amari is just our little diva. Here she is belting out some sweet jam. She has the best pop voice of my life, all shaky and hilarious. She and Zeke were playing guess who the other day and they were both totally amazed and thrilled when the other one guessed there player right. Behold the power of deduction! you would have thought it was a magic trick.
Jess has been bringing me 2x4's that would otherwise be trashed from work. Other then the hardware my endtable I made for free...
Last week, I came across this idea on pintrest and fell in love with the idea of a reading nook instead of our eyesore of a front closet. So last Saturday and Monday this is what I did...
Again all free but the hardware and cushions! I am getting some new tools for my birthday and can't wait to play more!
Zeke loves the reading nook, unless he gets interrupted, "Mom, my reading skills have failed because Amari wont leave me alone." I hate it when my reading skills fail! He really is sounding words out very well, I am really impressed considering how little time I have been able to work on it with him. You're a stud muffin Zekie!
Pantera let me come to her Valentines party at school on Friday. She was so proud to have me...ok mostly Seneca, there. She was the talk of the class holding her little sister. And her little classmates made me feel like a million bucks "Your mom is so tall and pretty and skinny!" They were all quite good at the whole flattery thing, so next time I need a boost I'm heading back to third grade!

First of all, I really miss you & your cute family! Wish we lived closer so I could meet the rest of your cute kids! And secondly you have some mad skill with power tools. I love how your reading nook turned out! Another reason to live closer...so you could help my lame un-mad skills with power tools.
All that snow makes me cringe, Im pretty grateful for my 70 degree weather (until fire season that is). Your kids crack me up! You need a reality tv show!
