Sabotage!

This morning, Pantera requested that I do her hair like she "is going to a fancy ball." I told her that I really didn't feel like it and asked her if we could just do it regular. She scowls at me and says "So, you want everyone at church to just look at you? You just don't want anyone to think I am beautiful and everyone to think you are beautiful." How did she figure out my evil plot??? Her uncle Alex was deployed to Afghanistan yesterday, her response "It was nice knowing him, wasn't it?"

We are doing storytime at our library every week. They gave Pantera a monthly reading sheet to log every book she reads and she gets a prize at the end of the month. I have never seen a kid get more excited about reading! I hope she keeps up this motivation for school.

Ezekiel...this kid drives me CRAZY!!! I say this with a big smile, he is so funny! He loves to get caught getting into trouble. He loves the pot of Vaseline I keep next to the bed, he waits until I am in the room and sticks his hand in it, waits until I am watching and puts one little finger of the stuff in his mouth, then laughs at me! He likes to pretend to go potty, if you put him on the toilet he gets a big grin and says "SSSSSS." This morning Jess got home around 5 and was whispering to me so he wouldn't wake the kids. I guess Zeke was awake because he looks at Jess and pretends to whisper back. He is so fun to be around, even if he is giving me gray hair!
