Pantera is funny, when she stays up to late she is even funnier! Pantera stayed up til 1 am for New Years, we watched several movies including Marley and Me. There is a point in the movie that Marley is getting old and needs to be put to sleep, as they go to the vet Pantera jokingly says "What are they going to do, kill him?" I reply "Yes, actually they are. Sometimes when animals are really old and in alot of pain, the nicest thing the vet can do for them is to give them medicine that makes them fall asleep and not wake up again." She paused for a moment and replies "Well, that's a weird kind of niceness!" Then she described the movie to Meredith over the phone and said "They gave Marley medicine that way he will never open his eyeball again, not even a wink!" Now I know, watch sad movies with Pantera and they aren't so sad...

At least she has a positive outlook on life! She will soon find that there are lots of "weird kinds of niceness" out there, such as tough love.
