Slip N Slide

Here is my latest painting. This is probably one of the most special pieces I will ever do. This is my neighbor's son, she is 95. He died 58 years ago in the Korean war. All she had was a wallet size black and white picture of him in his uniform. She talks about him all the time, I really get the impression he was a very special man. 4th portrait to date, I'm getting there.
Today was HOT!!! Ok, it was about 85* but I have been away from Phoenix for a few years, so it felt hot. So we broke out the slip 'n slide! Pantera and Zeke had a blast! Zeke's girlfriend Macenzkie was over today with her mom. He is a traditional "dinner and a movie" kind of guy, they both nursed and watched baby Einsteins;) While Christine and I were nursing the babies, Pantera came in with her baby doll and a blanket to cover herself. She sat and pretended to nurse her baby with us. She told me earlier this week "I'm kind of like a boy-girl. Huh, mom?"

Savannah your artwork is amazing!

We are doing ours all in one day because Kyle can not get more time off of work. His brother and their family are going through the same day with us. My in laws were able to set up the sealing right after (15 min) the endowments session and got the Temple Pres to do it for us so we are very excited!

I wish we lived closer too. I love my new camera, its so much fun. Thank you for the compliment. I had fun doing the pictures for Dallas' prom. I hope to make a career out of it someday.... maybe hah!

Hey Savannah. I love the family picture on your blog. I tried to put the grandkids on my header and the picture was tiny. How did you make it so cute? You are very talented and I feel lucky to have you in my family. Mary

Wow your paiting is beautiful! Did you give it to your neighbor yet? I bet she is/will be thrilled!

P.S. How the heck do you find time to paint. I only have one baby and can't seem to find time to do the fun extra stuff!
