It's been one of those days. I don't understand why they don't do "Preschooler think it over" it would be much more effective. Enough said.

Yep. The preschool version of "Baby: think it over" would be much more effective. You just have to make sure that the fake child whines, calls you mean names, still wakes you up at night and can somehow open the refrigerator despite all the locks...
